      Our story dates back to our roots as a humble crew recruitment agency, known as “UNK Sagacious (Pvt.) Ltd.”, which was founded in 2006 with a simple but powerful goal: to provide the maritime industry with top-quality crew members. Thereon, we were committed to developing the best possible crew recruitment service for our clients around the world. Over time, our reputation for excellence blossomed, and we began to explore new opportunities to expand our offerings.

      UNK Global Maritime Institute, founded in 2016 was established to impart state-of-the-art and up-to-date maritime education and practical skills to current and potential seafarers in Sri Lanka. Our team of professionals are devoted to preparing our students with industry-specific skills and knowledge in order to offer resourceful manpower; who are capable of handling the challenges of the maritime industry while pursuing their passion for serving the seas.

      However, our passion to serve the maritime industry didn’t stop there. Our management discovered an opportunity to leverage our experience and expertise by serving the maritime industry and set out to establish a full-service shipping agency; known as “UNK Marine Agencies and Logistics (Pvt.) Ltd.” founded in 2022. Our team is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of our clients and offers prompt and accurate shipping solutions with the highest level of service at all times.

      Throughout the journey of the UNK group of companies, starting off as a crew recruitment agency to a maritime education and training institute to finally becoming a “One-stop-shop” providing solutions for all challenges of our clients, we never lost sight of our commitment to excellence, innovation, ethical and sustainable business practices.
